Key Human Services, Inc. is seeking a full time  Program Director to join our team of professionals in making a positive difference in the lives of our neighbors and the community.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Create a healthy, engaging, typical home for people with intellectual disabilities
  • Supervise all aspects of program operations including the physical site, staff, and individuals supported
  • Ensure health, safety, and welfare needs are met through fire drills, medication checks, staff training, cleanliness of home, doctor appointments, etc.
  • Assist with development and implementation of Individual Support Plans to meet the needs of individuals supported
  • Support individuals to become independent, make decisions, and live a meaningful dignified life with valued social roles (ex: friend, neighbor, student, employee)
  • Manage and mentor program staff including scheduling, timesheets, performance evaluations, and training
  • Ensure high quality services are provided and consistent with all licensing, federal, state, and local regulations
  • Provide administrative support and direct care support weekly to include on-call responsibilities

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Five years of work experience in human services or related field; Will consider higher education in lieu of experience
  • One year of supervisory experience
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Valid Connecticut driver’s license with a three year clean driving history
  • Daily access to a privately maintained and insured vehicle
  • Successful completion of the pre-employment process, including motor vehicle record and criminal background checks
