We are looking for a UX Research Intern to join our UX Research & Design team and support the UX research practice. This is a full-time internship based in Singapore. As a UX Research Intern, you would be working alongside our in-house researchers, designers and product managers to support UX research and research ops efforts.
This internship offers a great opportunity for you to be a part of Viki’s growing UX research practice, including the opportunity to introduce and contribute to newer ways of working, gaining exposure to UX research approaches and methods, and a peek into the inner workings of a product company.
Besides getting hands-on experience on UX research and research ops processes, you’ll receive mentorship from a dedicated mentor, as well as through our weekly sharing sessions, and also through the connections you’ll forge with all your great new colleagues.
Responsibilities:
Assist UX Research team on strategic research projects in terms of writing research briefs, developing research plans, determining apt approaches and methodologies, crafting research instruments, co-moderating user interactions, analysis and report writing
Execute research projects such as usability tests (moderated, and unmoderated), card sorts, tree tests, feature health check surveys, pre or post launch surveys and more, in collaboration with UX designers and PMs
Manage day to day operations for research projects: scheduling sessions, inviting stakeholders, managing incentive payouts, and managing data files with integrity
Own and manage projects assigned to you (with mentors to support and guide), participate actively in research reviews & critiques during team meetings, and host and participate in monthly ‘UXR learning den’ sessions with the wider UX team
Requirements:
Interest in UX research and design
Academic background in social sciences, e.g. psychology, anthropology, sociology, human factors or related fields
Prior research experience would be an advantage, e.g. involvement in research projects or assignments, research assistant roles, UX / design research internships or similar
Collaborative spirit to work with multifunctional teams and a multicultural user base
Good project management skills, ability to stay organised
Excellent attention to detail
Preferably able to commit to a 6-month internship period
This position is primarily open to students and recent graduates looking to explore UX research.
