Overview:

•    Casual employees commencing as soon as possible and for 2025.
•    Teaching within the Certificates II, III and IV in Plumbing.
•    Based at the Melbourne CBD campus but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University.

 

About You

As a Casual Sessional within Vocational Education, you will be mainly responsible for the delivery of course material, assessing students and the supervision of students enrolled in selected courses within the program.   
  
We are looking for casual teachers with industry currency to assist in subjects covering general plumbing.

Key Responsibilities  
•    Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching and consultancy environments. This includes effective presentation and facilitation skills, and in the use of flexible teaching methods.
•    Demonstrated skills and experience in competency-based assessment.
•    Demonstrated ability in ensuring current and contemporary vocational competence which meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.
•    Demonstrated experience in relevant industry, and substantial discipline knowledge.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have / you’ll have as a minimum: 

•    Certificate IV in TAE 40116 or 40122 
•    Current industry experience in our subject offerings   
•    Passion for education and the teaching profession 
•    Demonstrated experience teaching in Vocational Education is desirable.
•    The ability to travel to all locations as required. 
•    A valid Victorian Working with Children Check (WWCC)
