Role and Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities

This role is to manage key retailer channel marketing activity including online and offline stores, ensuring that cohesive quarterly / 6 month / 12 month marketing plans are in place and implemented effectively. You are also required to develop strategic TTL plans with partners for new product launch, in-life phase and implement channel campaigns in order to achieve sell-out targets, expand market share and pursue bold growth targets.

Lead on specific retailers as a Channel Marketing Manager

  • Lead on retailers by creating and implementing strong, creative DA marketing activities including key promotional activity /added value campaigns within specific handled channels on time and to budget.  These activities could include:

  • ATL Media – TV, Press, Outdoor

  • In-store Promotion Execution – POS

  • Execution on third party retailer websites including product page management, banner advertising and brand store development.

  • Digital Advertising: Paid search, social, SEO, affiliates and VOD.

  • Manage and brief agencies to create or customise assets to best communicate promotions, or product features and benefits that give Samsung stand out and drive sales.

  • Set critical metrics for all planned marketing activity including digital metrics, and manage/review effectiveness & return on investment.

  • Support on reviewing Channel marketing budget ensuring it is allocated in a cost effective manner to maximise return on investment. 

  • Work with the Retail Marketing Team and Field Team to ensure strong alignment of campaigns from Online through to in store.

  • Work with the Retail Manager on events from briefing agencies, stand development, samples, logistics and creative.

  • Tracking execution, success and key findings of channel activity- sharing results with the business

  • Collection, collaboration and distribution of marketing information to channel partners and internally

Soft Skills

  • Ability to balance multiple internal and external partners in order to successfully deliver on key projects

  • Experience managing agencies and third party suppliers

  • Proactive approach to problem solving

  • To be able to multi task and project lead large projects

  • Great teammate, with ability to quickly build solid working relationships across the business.

  • High attention to detail to ensure plans are implemented as prescribed

  • Clear communicator able to articulate the approach and ongoing performance

  • Ability to create and deliver persuasive, clear, innovative and concise content

  • Comfortable working in a fast paced corporate environment

Hard Skills:

  • Degree/qualification or equivalent experience, plus marketing qualification

  • Product Marketing and Services Marketing experience

  • Experience in a similar role

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (inc Strong MS PowerPoint & Excel)

  • Highly analytical and able to interpret data in a meaningful way

  • Experience of running marketing budgets

2-3 stage interview process comprising of:

  • Call with HR

  • Interview with line manager Aadam Zaman & Marketing Director Tanya Weller

  • Presentation interview with line manager, Head of Channel Marketing & Marketing Director Tanya Weller
