Our challenge

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to join our team within the Investment Banking/Wealth Management sector. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in analyzing the current state of applications and facilitating the planning and execution of migration initiatives. Candidate will coordinate with various stakeholders, organize workshops, and lead migration projects, with a strong focus on tool adoption and proof of concepts (POCs).

Additional Information

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York, NY is $115k - $120k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Application Analysis: Analyze the current state of applications to identify opportunities for migration and improvement. Develop comprehensive migration strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to plan and facilitate the execution of migration initiatives. Ensure that all teams are aligned and informed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Workshop Planning & Organization: Plan and organize workshops with senior stakeholders to facilitate demonstrations, planning sessions, and execution strategies for large migration and tool adoption projects. Lead discussions to gather requirements and define project objectives.
  • Proof of Concepts (POCs): Run POCs to validate migration plans and assess the feasibility of new tools and technologies. Gather feedback from stakeholders and make necessary adjustments based on findings.
  • Communication with Senior Stakeholders: Maintain clear and ongoing communication with senior stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and milestones, ensuring that all parties are aware of progress and challenges.
  • ServiceNow Migration Experience: Utilize expertise in ServiceNow migration (if applicable) to guide and support migration projects, ensuring best practices are followed throughout the process.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Technical Project Manager, specifically in the investment banking or wealth management industry.
  • Migration Expertise: Proven experience in application migration projects, with a strong understanding of migration methodologies and best practices.
  • Workshop Facilitation: Demonstrated ability to plan and organize workshops with senior stakeholders, facilitating productive discussions and decision-making processes.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail in assessing application states and migration paths.
  • Tools and Technologies: Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies. Experience with ServiceNow migration is a significant plus.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Experience in managing complex projects in the financial services sector.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance issues related to migrations in investment banking or wealth management.
