Position Description:

Builds and develops web applications, using Java, Lambdas, streams and functional interfaces, and Spring modules. Decouples components and layers in the system, using Inversion of Control (IoC). Implements user interfaces, using Model-View-Controller (Rest). Leverages REST concepts and develops REST APIs, using Spring Boot with Tomcat. Completes high-volume data processing, using BATCH. Monitors OAuth 2 and security. Participates in peer project reviews, code reviews, and design reviews. Ensures design meets performance, security, usability, and reliability and scalability requirements. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing and developing Java-based Web applications and microservices in a financial services environment, using Spring Boot.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing and developing Java-based Web applications and microservices in a financial services environment, using Spring Boot.
