This is a technical position where the candidate will be responsible for enabling and supporting the Enterprise Public Cloud Platform across multiple projects/business units. The candidate must be able to support and maintain operationalized projects and initiatives built for customers. The candidate will focus on delivering secure, resilient, and compliant cloud environments that enable applications teams to deliver maximum value to the business. With a high focus on automation, the candidate will leverage existing industry best practices as well as lead the development of new best practices to enable technical innovation in the financial services industry.

The ideal candidate will be goal-oriented, independent, motivated, self-driven, result-oriented, and act in the best interests of the team as well as the customer. They must act both as a builder and as a support mechanism for our customers, be able to handle multiple competing priorities in a dynamic environment and should have the highest level of integrity with a proven track record of success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Performs problem tracking, diagnosis and root-cause analysis, replication, troubleshooting, and resolution for complex issues. In this capacity, performs programming and debugging activities.
2. Responds to issues in a timely manner by receiving and investigating incidents or service tickets.
3. Analyzes and observes trends with technical issues and develops recommendations for long- term improvements.
4. Documents all relevant end-user interactions and steps taken to resolve incidents.
5. Has occasional contact with end-users.
6. Communicates status of issue resolution to internal customers.
7. May engage and manage outside vendors.
8. Applies in-depth knowledge of application support and an understanding of best practices.
9. Typically leads moderately complex projects and participates in larger, more complex initiatives.
10. Solves complex technical and operational problems.
11. Acts as a resource for teammates with less experience.
12. May have people management responsibilities for a small team.


QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree and five years of experience in development or application support or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
2. In- depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement best practices.
3. Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function.
4. Ability to plan and manage projects.
5. Ability to solve complex problems by applying best practices.
6. Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates.
7. Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or comparable IT experience is required

  • 5+ years of technical experience working in IT organizations, preferably in financial services organizations

  • 3+ years of experience in enterprise software development lifecycle management

  • 3+ years of experience in software development, build/release management, & change/incident management

  • 2+ years of experience in a public cloud platform 

  • Achieved one of the Public Cloud Associate-level certifications

  • Experience creating runbooks 

  • Participation in Agile/Scrum best practices and methodology

  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to any given situation

  • Ability to work under pressure in high stress situations with a calm demeanor

  • Innate ability to provide “extraordinary service” to end clients - as client focus is critical to your success and to the program's overall success

  • Self-starter that demonstrates initiative and ability to work independently with little supervision

  • Proven ability to identify and remove large moderate obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team

  • Effective collaboration skills and ability to operate across organizational disciplines

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong formal presentation skills

  • Possesses great technical documentation skills
