We are seeking a Senior Director, People Strategy for our First Quality Enterprises, LLC office located in Great Neck, NY. The Senior Director, People Strategy is a role that balances the “people lens” with a “business lens”, working to shape the people strategy in a way that accelerates the business strategy. As a critical member of the HR executive leadership team, this person will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling our HR function to fuel our ambitious growth objectives. They will move beyond conventional HR administration to create a transformative people experience that attracts, develops, and retains exceptional talent, fostering a high-performance culture that drives measurable business outcomes.
Primary responsibilities include:
Own the talent lifecycle which involves directly leading a team that has responsibility for HR Communications, Recruiting, HR Technology, Talent Management, Learning & Development, Compensation and Benefits, while collaborating with Senior HR Business Partners across the organization.
Lead transformative initiatives that enhance employee experience, enable organizational agility, and foster a high-performance culture.
Advise Senior Leadership on all HR related matters and works to implement any outcomes from decisions reached across the organization.
Work closely with senior leaders, HR, and alongside key stakeholders to implement change management strategies and optimize workforce potential.
Establish clear performance expectations and feedback mechanisms that reinforce accountability and growth.
Maintain a real-time pulse on employee sentiment using both qualitative and quantitative inputs, and proactively surface insights to senior leadership.
Work cross-functionally on any expansion, acquisition or business strategy initiatives, owning the people-strategy and action plans of such initiatives.
Influence and educate across the organization on key people matters, working cross-functionally to gain alignment and a path forward
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 15 years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of 5 years in senior leadership roles interfacing with C-Suite/Senior Leadership.
HR leadership experience working in a manufacturing environment or within an organization that employs a large number of hourly employees.
Experience leading and developing leaders and influencing at the executive and board level.
Proven experience scaling organizations, ideally within a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
Structured and succinct communication style
A hands-on and collaborative approach
Strong influencing and partnership skills
Comfortable with ambiguity and thrives in an environment where not all answers are clear, demonstrating adaptability and resourcefulness
Strong analytical skills with the ability to delve into HR and business data and subsequently deliver clear recommendations
Flexible to travel globally as needed based on business and organizational needs
