The Pharmacy Technician – Ambulatory supports a high-volume outpatient pharmacy at the Beachwood Family Health Center, where caregivers fill approximately 500–800 prescriptions per day, with the highest volumes occurring on Mondays and Tuesdays. This role is responsible for filling and preparing prescriptions, answering incoming phone calls, supporting patients at the front counter, and maintaining efficient workflow across multiple fill stations. Working alongside pharmacists and fellow technicians, caregivers help ensure accurate medication dispensing, excellent customer service, and timely prescription processing in a fast-paced ambulatory pharmacy environment.
A caregiver in this role will work day and evening shifts based on departmental needs, with most shifts lasting 8 hours. The current weekend requirement is three Saturdays per quarter, scheduled from 7:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. (closed for lunch from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.). Weekend expectations may increase in the future based on staffing and patient volume needs.
