The Senior Manager, Personal Banking Loyalty Value Proposition is responsible for supporting the integration of Air Miles into the broader Canadian Personal Value Proposition for market differentiation and growth. The Senior Manager will identify and assess key opportunities and develop business cases and recommendations to inform the development of the strategy and roadmap. This role will design and execute key initiatives and campaigns, leveraging the Air Miles program and capabilities, to drive customer acquisition, primacy, SOW, and customer engagement. This role will also lead the enhancement of existing customer journeys and design new journeys for key loyalty moments and rewards across BMO and Air Miles. These projects will be conducted in collaboration with Air Miles, Emerging Business, Products teams, Digital, Marketing, Analytics, Customer Segments, Customer Loyalty & Salesforce Enablement, Virtual Connect and other partners.

Key accountabilities

1. Strategy development support

  • Develop and assess market and customer research to identify opportunities to best leverage Air Miles to achieve business objectives
  • Proactively identify and assess opportunities to support the development of the overall strategy and roadmap for the integration of Air Miles Loyalty program into Personal Banking
  • Drive the evolution of capabilities with key partners, managing to required timelines
  • Develop reporting and executive level presentations to outline the strategy, share results and next steps

2. Project delivery & optimization

  • Lead the implementation of key initiatives with large multi-functional teams, through ideation, requirements, implementation and change management
  • Proactively identify opportunities to leverage Air Miles to drive acquisition volumes with current Personal customers and prospects, including Air Miles members that do not bank with BMO
  • Work with Product, Acquisition, Segment, Value Prop and Air Miles partners to design campaigns to drive acquisition and engagement
  • Develop, launch and manage customer journeys specific to the Loyalty Program to drive customer engagement and primacy, present timely & relevant offers, and drive digital adoption
  • Collaborate with partners to integrate relevant loyalty touchpoints into existing customer journeys
  • Monitor progress against project plans to ensure completion
  • Work with partners to assess and present campaign and journey results
  • Develop and implement recommendations for campaign and journey optimization

Knowledge & Skills

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience; completion of an MBA is desirable.
  • Personal Banking customer acquisition, marketing, and customer loyalty experience would be an asset
  • Strong business acumen and strategy development skills
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to assimilate a large amount of information to identity data driven action plans and build business cases to support recommended action plans
  • Ability to develop recommendations and effectively articulate recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Ability to influence others to take action and to gain support for proposed initiatives
  • Experience in the development and delivery of initiatives impacting people, processes, and technology
  • Strong collaboration & team skills; with a focus on cross-group collaboration
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Strong PowerPoint presentation skills
  • Strong data management software skills (e.g. Excel pivot tables)
  • Ability to manage ambiguity

Salary:

$92,400.00 - $171,600.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
