Role Overview: The Lead – Early Lifecycle Management is responsible for end-to-end ownership of offer management, onboarding, and workforce activation for a high-volume, sales workforce. The role ensures speed, accuracy, and compliance across the early employee lifecycle, while driving process standardisation, automation, and system-led execution to enable sustained scale including overseeing the background verification operations by ensuring seamless integration between offers, onboarding, BGV, and payroll readiness.



Key Responsibilities:

 

Offer Management

Own the end-to-end offer lifecycle, including creation, issuance, revisions, acceptance tracking, and documentation.

Ensure offers are released within defined TATs to support ~1,000 joining per weekly 

Ensure correct mapping of offer templates to the entities, signatories and candidate groups

Validate the offer inputs as per the company policy and the requirements.

Manage exceptions and corrections in coordination with TA, HRBPs, and business stakeholders.

Maintain audit-ready records of offers, approvals, and deviations from standard terms.

Drive standardisation and system-led issuance of offers to minimise manual errors and rework.

Ensure audit-ready documentation and approvals for all offers.

 

Onboarding and Payroll-readiness

Own end-to-end onboarding execution from pre-joining to Day 1 readiness.

Ensure support to the onboardees with completion of pre-joining steps and the onboarding form. 

Ensure validation of key personnel information (like NationalIDs, Bank Accounts details etc. before activation).

Enable zero-defect payroll readiness for all onboarded employees within the first cycle.

Track and resolve onboarding drop-offs, no-shows, and delayed activations in coordination with TA and business teams.

Drive process improvements and automation to support rapid scale without compromising compliance or data accuracy.

Background Oversight

Provide functional oversight of BGV operations through the Lead – BGV.

Ensure alignment of BGV initiation and closure with onboarding and payroll timelines.

Review BGV dashboards, risks, and escalations; intervene where required to protect joining and compliance outcomes.

Ensure clear hand-offs and dependencies between onboarding and BGV processes.

Reporting, Compliance and Governance

Act as a key SPOC for TA, HRBPs, payroll, IT, and business teams on early lifecycle matters.

Proactively flag risks impacting joining volumes, payroll readiness, or compliance.

Ensure all early lifecycle processes comply with internal policies, approval frameworks, statutory requirements and data privacy standards 

Maintain audit-ready documentation and trackers.

Support internal and external audits related to hiring and onboarding.

Process Excellence, Automation & Systems

Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and standardise exit and benefits processes.

Partner with HRIS, payroll systems, and internal tech teams to:

Reduce manual interventions

Improve data accuracy

Enable real-time tracking and reporting

Build scalable workflows to support sustained high-volume operations.

Team Management and Process Improvement:

Lead and guide a team of Onboarding Specialists

Allocate work, manage capacity, and ensure consistent output quality.

Regular reviews, coaching, and issue resolution to maintain operational discipline.

Drive standardisation of SOPs, trackers, checklists and escalation mechanisms.

 

Capabilities & Requirements:

Graduate / Postgraduate in HR or a related field with 5-6 years of experience in HR Operations, or Employee Lifecycle Management

Prior experience leading teams is mandatory.

High ownership, attention to detail and execution orientation

Ability to operate under tight timelines and high pressure

Strong stakeholder management and analytical skills; comfort with MIS and dashboards.

Proficient in MS Excel/ Google spreadsheets
