As a Director of Strategic Sourcing on the ProTradeNet (PTN) team, a typical day for you will include:

  • Develop and implement a procurement strategy focused on driving Franchise Owner (FO) profitability and organizational revenue.
  • Manage a diverse vendor portfolio, building strong partnerships to enhance FO outcomes.
  • Negotiate highly competitive agreements, focusing on pricing, rebates, and terms that benefit FOs and PTN.
  • Support the establishment of FO-led buying councils, offering guidance and expertise to amplify their impact.
  • Continuously improve procurement processes to ensure efficiency, compliance, and alignment with best practices.
  • Monitor vendor performance and address challenges to maintain high-quality partnerships.

(Required qualifications)

  • Experience:
    • 10+ years of experience in vendor relations, procurement, or related fields, with a focus on strategic buying and managing vendor relationships across industries.
    • 5+ years of leadership experience, overseeing large teams, managing programs, and driving change within a dynamic organization.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with employees, franchise owners, prospective franchise owners, and vendors.
    • Ability Up to 10% travel for site visits, company events, conferences, and tradeshows.
    • Capable of balancing day-to-day operations with long-term growth, managing relationships across industries like HVAC, plumbing, marketing, and more.
    • Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and driving transformational change. Must be hungry, humble, and smart, with a collaborative spirit.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred but not required.
