Job Title: Senior Software Engineer - Cloud & API Modernisation

As a Senior Software Engineer you will be supporting Microservices Platforms and building capabilities to modernise APIs in the cloud that enable delivery squads to host workloads on AWS.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• You are a highly experienced Cloud Systems Engineer with expertise in C# .Net and AWS.
• We are a team of passionate engineers, supporting Microservices Platforms and building capabilities to modernise APIs in the cloud for the group.
• You will drive important initiatives, being responsible for the technical design and implementation of key services, with a particular focus on AWS and API modernisation capabilities. You will ensure that services are implemented so that solutions are resilient, secure and fit for purpose.
• You will be an advocate for best practice, capable of challenging and being challenged, to deliver the best technical solutions for our customers.
• You will be involved in all aspects of the delivery from solution design and development to production rollout and support

Essential Skills

• Have a strong application development background in:
• Powershell, Shell scripting, Bash/Shell Ansible
• Experience with IIS, .Net Core based server/ application management C#
• Windows/ Linux server management
• Octopus, Teamcity/ Similar CI-CD tooling experience
• Visual studio (similar IDE), git, JFrog/ repository
• Have a proven track record delivering mission critical solutions within a DevOps Model.
• Are passionate about building resilient, secure cloud infrastructure to support API development on AWS.
• Understand the complexity and challenges delivering scalable, secure cloud solutions in an enterprise setting.
• Can drive initiatives, investigating the options, gaining support for recommendations, and delivering the outcome.
