Job Description Summary

The Product Care India Leader leads a team of engineers who specialise in Embedded Software and Firmware, Software Tools, Application Software, managing hardware and software obsolescence as well as providing all aspects of product support for our HVDC Solution Line Business. In this role, the Leader is responsible for delivering and driving a cross functional team of experts to meet our strategic business objectives. In this role, the Product Care India Leader also leads a Global team of Embedded Platform and Software developers.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Growth: Drive, build and develop skills and competencies to meet evolving business needs and project requirements. Manage and mentor a high-performing team of engineers. Support team managers in setting goals, conducting performance reviews, and conflict management.
• Platform Strategy: Define and execute the embedded software roadmap, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of the HVDC product line.
• Infrastructure Management: Support establishing and maintaining state-of-the-art lab infrastructure in Hyderabad to support development and validation needs.
• Technical Excellence and Management: Serve as a technical resource, utilizing data-driven insights to solve complex engineering challenges and improve software engineering competencies. Drive and promote a learning culture within the team that supports Continuous Improvement, Lean and Innovation depending on the nature of the need. Create and maintain the budget for the Embedded Software function.

Required Qualifications

• Significant professional experience in Engineering/Technology, with a focus on Embedded Software Management. Familiarity with regulatory standards such as IEC, CIGRE, IEEE.
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven ability to manage teams, set technical direction, and lead complex projects to successful delivery.
• In-depth knowledge of embedded systems, industry best practices, and relevant connectivity protocols.
• A proactive and solution-based mindset to drive innovation and identify business opportunities
• A passion for quality and a focus on improving the product’s delivery speed and reliability
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyse complex problems, build consensus, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong ability to document, plan, and execute programs with moderate-to-high complexity.
