The Job Details are as follows:

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong Angular experience that has worked in a full stack capacity with Java and REST APIs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating exceptional experiences for public library staff and their users. Requirements: 

  • Passionately uses industry standard programming techniques to translate requirements and designs into code. 
  • Enthusiastically analyzes and solves problems in existing systems. 
  • Design, code, and test multiple modules of a system in a timely manner. 
  • Participates in unit, system and acceptance testing by designing tests, building test data, test execution and evaluation.  Along with recommending/making improvements/fixes to the tested system. 
  • Assists in developing and interpreting requirements. 
  • Participates in major architectural reviews and plans. 
  • Participates in the analysis and implementation of 3rd party solutions for OCLC applications with the ability to understand the impact and analyze the risk. 
  • Plans and participates in load, capacity, and performance analysis and/or testing. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline required. 
  • 5 years of software development, five years of JAVA programming required. 
  • Experience with current Angular (version 12 or higher), Angular.JS, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, TypeScript, and Bootstrap or similar libraries required. 
  • Experience with Linux (or similar) and Windows required. 
  • Experience with MySQL desired. 
  • Experience with the Cypress JavaScript library for automated application tests strongly desired.
  • Experience with NgRx for state management strongly desired.
  • Familiarity with unit testing, integration testing and performance/stress testing 
  • Excellent communication skills are a must. 
  • Ability to implement industry standard programming techniques by mastering advanced software development concepts, practices, and procedures, and analyzing and solving problems in existing systems. 

Working Conditions: Normal office environment.
