Summary: As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as software detectives, providing a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues, ensuring that business operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will engage in problem-solving activities, analyze system performance, and implement solutions that enhance system reliability and user experience. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining the integrity of business applications and supporting the overall technology infrastructure. Roles & Responsibilities: •ArcFhitect and design Fortinet wireless network solutions, including FortiAPs, FortiWLC (Wireless LAN Controller), and integration with FortiGate firewalls. •Lead deployment, configuration, and management of Fortinet wireless infrastructure ensuring robust security, performance, and scalability. •Collaborate with network, security, and wireless teams to develop and maintain secure, reliable wireless architectures aligned with organizational goals. •Implement wireless network security policies including authentication (802.1X), encryption, guest access, and threat protection. •Troubleshoot complex wireless network issues, including RF interference, connectivity, and security incidents. •Evaluate and recommend upgrades and enhancements to wireless network infrastructure based on industry •Familiarity with network protocols, firewall configurations, VPNs, and overall network security. •Experience with wireless site surveys, capacity planning, and performance tuning. •Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. •Ability to work collaboratively across teams and mentor junior staff. trends and best practices. •Provide technical guidance and mentoring to network engineers and other IT staff on Fortinet wireless technologies. •Create and maintain detailed documentation, design diagrams, and operational procedures related to wireless network architecture. •Stay updated on Fortinet wireless product developments and emerging wireless security threats. •Participate in wireless network capacity planning, performance monitoring, and incident response. •Design and architect Aruba wireless network solutions including Aruba Access Points, Controllers, and Aruba Central cloud management. •Lead the implementation, configuration, and management of Aruba wireless infrastructure ensuring optimal security, performance, and scalability. •Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop secure, reliable wireless network architectures that align with business goals. •Conduct wireless site surveys and capacity planning to ensure network coverage and performance meet organizational needs. •Provide technical leadership, training, and mentoring to network engineers and support teams on Aruba wireless technologies. •Develop and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and operational procedures. •Stay updated on Aruba product releases, industry trends, and emerging wireless security threats. •Participate in wireless network monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement initiatives. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Fortinet Solutions. - Strong understanding of network security protocols and best practices. - Experience with firewall configuration and management. - Familiarity with troubleshooting network connectivity issues. - Ability to analyze and interpret system logs for problem resolution. •strong knowledge of wireless networking technologies including 802.11 standards, RF principles, and wireless security protocols (WPA2, WPA3, 802.1X). •Hands-on experience with Fortinet wireless products such as FortiAP, FortiWLC, and FortiGate integration. •Fortinet NSE certifications (NSE 4 Wireless, NSE 5 or higher) preferred. •Implement wireless security policies including 802.1X authentication, WPA2/WPA3 encryption, guest access, and role-based access control. •Troubleshoot and resolve complex wireless networking issues including RF interference, connectivity challenges, and security incidents. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Fortinet Solutions. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
