We are looking for a innovative, results-driven leader to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as a Director of Network Solutions & Support for our Aftermarket Parts business in Bangalore, India.

The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is a very important element of Caterpillar’s strategy to deliver Services Growth.  In PSLD, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream from procurement to design and manufacturing to distribution. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurement and the design and manufacture of Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters).

Job Summary:

The Director of Network Solutions & Support develops and executes solutions for our Aftermarket Operations which deliver the capability and capacity to meet our outlook for global demand for parts and services.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead a team of experts across a range of disciplines that deliver and implement the solutions to support world-class warehouse performance. 
  • Deliver the implementation of an autonomous ecosystem within the facilities which leverages technology and system integration to enable safe, highly efficient operations reducing waste across all elements of warehouse operations
  • Provide the thought leadership required to continually innovate and incorporate leading edge approaches to the development of innovative solutions, technologies, and processes
  • Lead the development of business proposals to receive the funding and endorsement for investment projects including clarity on the timing of the financial commitments. 
  • Partner with other leaders to ensure the effective change management across all aspects of the Aftermarket Parts Distribution network. 
  • Ensure leadership presence on site for projects providing leadership and ensuring delivery of key milestones and commitments.

  • Up to 50% of travel (domestic & international)

    • Ability to champion incorporating lessons learned into present operational processes.
  • Logistics Management:  
    • Ability to lead the development of criteria and standards for measuring, improving and optimizing logistics.
    • Ability to lead discussions on the evolution of our logistics warehouse processes
    • Monitors industry trends and innovations driving adoption of practices
    • Ability to provide recommendations for the best solutions and business partners to deliver an autonomous ecosystem

  • Warehouse Management:
    •  Knowledge of best practices in warehouse efficiency, including layout and site processes.
    • Ability to champion technologies for innovations in warehouse operations.
    • Knowledge of developing plans for the of flow of goods from inbound and outbound from operations
    • Ability to lead conversations around selecting, designing, determining number of, sizes and locations of required warehouses.

  • Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Policy Compliance:
    • Ability to develop strategies for sites performing in alignment with EHS requirements

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Skills):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

What You Will Get: This is a high visibility role leading a global team. The individual selected would report out to the executive office on a quarterly basis.
