Analyst, Finance Business Partner – Core Payments & Consumer Product
Overview
• The Analyst serves as a strategic finance partner to Core Payments and Consumer Product teams. This role combines rigorous FP&A discipline with commercial acumen and proactive collaboration across Product, Divisions, Global Finance, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
• Key responsibilities include leading planning cycles, delivering insightful performance analysis, upholding governance standards (revenue recognition, contra, accruals), and shaping data-driven decisions on pricing, investments, and market expansion.
• The Finance Business Partner (FBP) function manages all aspects of management reporting, including budgeting and forecasting, strategic and customer planning, and corporate reporting requirements for the region. This position supports the Director, FBP (Regional Finance) across a broad spectrum of strategic processes and initiatives, focusing on Consumer Products and Core Payments.
• You will operate in a dynamic, matrixed environment with exposure to diverse geographies and functions, requiring a detail-oriented work style and strong stakeholder engagement.
Key Accountabilities
• Financial Planning, Close & Forecasting
• Support monthly/quarterly financial close by analysing variances vs. budget, forecasts, prior year, and key business drivers.
• Implement and maintain processes for accurate, timely regional revenue forecasts and budgets
• Ensure data integrity in planning tools (e.g., Hyperion) and manage accurate uploads and reconciliations across markets and divisions.
• Prepare and submit regional budget templates in line with corporate timelines and standards.
• Management Reporting & Performance Insights
• Build and deliver management reporting packages and executive-ready financial presentations.
• Generate performance insights and identify risks and opportunities with clear actions.
• Respond promptly to ad-hoc analysis requests; continuously improve financial analysis and reporting frameworks.
• Business Partnering & Commercial Support
• Challenge assumptions and shape submissions to drive quality, consistency, and alignment to strategy.
• Provide actionable insights to support pricing strategies, investment decisions, consumer propositions, and market expansion.
Knowledge & Competencies
• Strong expertise in management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Analytical and insightful: Ability to distill complex data into clear business narratives and identify market opportunities.
• Commercial awareness: Understand risk vs. return and key commercial drivers across product lines and services.
• Broad finance knowledge: Reporting, forecasting, budgeting, pricing/margin, contra/accruals, and performance management.

• Strategic thinking: Connect financial outcomes to business strategy and propose pragmatic solutions.
• Stakeholder management: Build strong relationships across markets and functions; integrate Finance with business decision-making.
Experience & Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; CA/CPA/MBA (Finance) preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in FP&A, business partnering, or financial analysis within payments, banking, or fintech sectors.
• Strong knowledge of BI tools and financial systems (e.g., Hyperion Planning; Oracle/Power BI/Tableau a plus).
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; excellent problem-solving and ability to synthesize complex topics.
• Proven track record in fast-paced, matrixed environments; ability to manage multiple priorities with urgency and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
