C.H. Robinson is hiring an LTL Procurement Analyst where, in this role, you will lead end‑to‑end LTL bid events—from planning through award—driving competitive pricing and strong carrier performance. In this role, you will manage annual carrier renewals while proactively evaluating performance, capacity needs, and market conditions. You will project manage cross‑functional sourcing initiatives, keeping timelines, communication, and deliverables on track. In this role, you will develop strategic recommendations focused on best practices, continuous improvement, and cost‑savings opportunities while strengthening long‑term supplier partnerships. You will also ensure consistency and compliance across procurement processes.

Additional Callouts:

  • Strong applicants will have experience using procurement tools such as CUPA, Keelvar, or Jaggaer (preferred).
  • This role requires in‑office presence Monday through Friday and may be based in Milwaukee, WI; Eden Prairie, MN; or Des Moines, IA.
  • External candidates should have at a minimum, LTL procurement experience and/or proven project management of bid events.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage internal and external customer expectations and relationships

  • Identify, build, and maintain relationships with internal network of relationships

  • Transition relationships to carrier providers, customer stakeholders and TMS providers

  • Provide benchmarking and KPI support with customers

  • Help define internal and external project teams

  • Partner with stakeholders to gain commitment of project team resources

  • Lead and facilitate project tollgate meetings, responsible for results and customer sign off

  • Document project, scope, communications, and expectations

  • Support group methodology, tools, techniques, infrastructure, and presentations

  • Track hours of time spent by project, branch, and assignment in accordance with group guidelines

  • Resolve project issues and escalate when needed

  • Assess and manage project risk

  • Support gathering of post-engagement feedback and internal reviews

  • Responsible for quality, review, and delivery of all customer documents

  • Assist other groups, especially sales and account management teams

  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Minimum 2 years of previous procurement, project management, or transportation experience

  • Ability to work flexible schedule on occasion, some night and weekend hours may be required

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs

  • Six Sigma, CSCP and process improvement experience

  • Previous Project Management experience

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and effectively influence and partner

  • Solid verbal, written and presentation communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to the appropriate audience

  • Experience consulting and influencing and thriving in a fast-paced, decentralized, matrixed, global environment

  • Ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects efficiently and effectively with strong attention to detail

  • Problem solving, analytical, critical thinking skills and ability to make decisions/recommendations

Compensation Range

$54,700.00 - $115,400.00

The base pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Your individual base pay within this range is determined by work location, which takes into account geographic cost of labor, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base pay only and do not include additional variable compensation.
