The Senior IT Manager, Data Analytics & AI is a people-focused leader responsible for managing global analytics teams and delivering data and analytics capabilities that drive business decision-making across Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and R&D functions. Reporting to the IT Director of Data & Analytics (D&A), this role emphasizes team leadership, program execution, stakeholder partnership, and value delivery—rather than hands-on technical design—while collaborating closely with business leaders, IT partners, and data platform teams to prioritize initiatives, oversee execution, and ensure analytics solutions are delivered on time, aligned to enterprise standards, and compliant with MedTech regulatory requirements.

Analytics Program & Delivery Leadership 

  • Lead enterprise analytics and AI initiatives across business domains. 

  • Translate business priorities into actionable delivery plans. 

  • Ensure programs are delivered on time and within budget. 

  • Track progress, manage risks, and escalate issues as needed. 

People & Team Leadership 

  • Manage and develop global analytics teams.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders.

Platform & Technology Oversight 

  • Oversee analytics platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, AI tools). 

  • Ensure platforms are scalable, reliable, and meet business needs. 

  • Maintain consistency in delivery standards and best practices. 

  • Guide technical solutions without hands-on design. 

Governance, Risk & Compliance 

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, privacy, and security standards. 

  • Support data governance, quality, and access controls. 

  • Promote responsible use of analytics and AI. 

MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications) 

  • 7+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience with an advanced degree 

  • 5+ years of managerial experience  

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications) 

  • Strongly Preferred: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Technology, Analytics, Business, or Engineering) 

    • 10+ years experience in Data, Analytics, or Digital roles 

    • 5+ years experience leading large, cross-functional teams and managers 

    • Experience managing enterprise analytics or data programs in complex organizations 

    • Working knowledge of modern analytics platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks) sufficient to lead teams and engage stakeholders 

    • Strong track record of delivering business outcomes through analytics 

  • Experience in MedTech, Life Sciences, Healthcare, or other regulated industries 

  • Experience leading analytics teams supporting commercial, operations, or supply chain functions 

  • Exposure to AI-driven analytics or advanced reporting initiatives 

  • Master’s degree or leadership-focused certifications

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$156,000.00 - $234,000.00

 

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

 

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

 

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
