What part will you play?

  • GAF Energy is seeking Production Operators who will manufacture the next generation of building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) products

  • You will report to the Production Supervisor at our Manufacturing facility and work at an assigned section on the production line. You will join a highly focused team that thrives in a fast-paced environment

  • You will be part of the team that is responsible for manufacturing and delivery of high quality, high-volume photovoltaic solar technology solutions that transform today’s roofs. The role will focus on safety, quality, productivity, and on time delivery. 

What will you do?

  • Use a combination of automated technology and manual skills to assemble BIPV products

  • Perform various assembly operations. Soldering experience is a plus

  • Self-inspecting products. Ensure quality requirements are met

  • Perform simple electrical testing of the product as required

  • Use manufacturing execution system (MES) to input manufacturing data

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance as assigned

  • Maintain a safe and clean production environment

  • Execute housekeeping responsibilities that are consistent with manufacturing initiatives

  • Ensure production processes are carried in accordance with company and regulatory requirements

  • Other duties as assigned

  What do we require from you?

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience hand soldering and use of torque driven tools a plus

  • Basic PC skills and ability to navigate programs used by the Company for training and/or communication purposes

  • Follow both verbal instructions and written procedures

  • Language Skills : Able to read, write, and communicate in English

  • Math skills : Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide

  • Work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment

  • High level of accuracy. Attention to detail

  • Ability to communicate effectively

  • Adhere to company policies and safety requirements

  • Ability to walk, lift, carry, grasp, bend, climb stairs and ladders, reach, kneel

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time as necessary

  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50  pounds

  • Available to work flexible hours as necessary

  • Ability to follow directions and complete work with minimal supervision
