Levi's is looking for a culturally fluent Associate Art Director to join our Global Brand Creative (GBC) team. Reporting to our Lead Art Director You will help shape the visual identity of an iconic brand—creating disruptive, taste‑leading work across global campaigns, digital experiences, social content, retail, and experiential channels.
You are a senior creative who can confidently take ideas from brief → concept → shoot → final production, bringing point of view, elevated craft, and a deep connection to culture. You'll work hands-on to develop 360° creative that resonates across markets, partnering with global teams to create content at scale.
About the Job
Lead 360 concepting for global briefs across digital, social, e‑commerce, retail, OOH, and print.
Create culturally relevant, disruptive ideas grounded in strong taste, creative intuition, and an understanding of contemporary cultural references.
Guide work from initial concept through production and post, ensuring every output meets Levi's aesthetic standards.
Present concepts to senior leadership, articulating strategy, references, and creative rationale.
Partner with designers, copywriters, producers, photographers, stylists, and external creative collaborators.
Provide on‑set art direction (studio, lifestyle, on-location), including shot lists, styling guidance, and visual direction.
Storyboard motion ideas; contribute to content for video, social, motion, and emerging/AI‑supported formats.
Oversee image selections, markup, retouching notes, and asset preparation across campaigns, e‑commerce, and print.
Build compelling presentation decks for internal alignment and go‑to‑production stages.
Stay current on cultural trends, talent, art, design, music, photography, fashion, and digital innovation—bringing fresh inspiration to the team.
8+ years of experience as an Art Director, in a global brand, fashion, or agency environment.
Portfolio demonstrating:
360 campaign thinking
social-first creative
elevated visual taste
on-set leadership
culturally informed concepting
Experience pitching ideas to senior or executive partners.
Global mindset—comfortable creating work that travels across markets and time zones.
Expertise in design, photography, typography, and digital content creation.
Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite; working knowledge of Figma.
Experience with production workflows (photo, video, post, retouching, color)
This is a hybrid work schedule based in our San Francisco, CA headquarters. You will be expected in office 3 days per week typically Tuesday-Thursday. Note, time in office can vary depending on business needs.
The expected starting salary range for this role is $135,200 - $198,300 per year. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance and business needs.
