Job Description:

THE POSITION

The Controller will report directly to the VP of Finance. They will be a key part of group reporting as well as working with the group business units to improve reporting and internal finance systems/processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business units to ensure timely and accurate preparation and review of financial deliverables for quarter/year-end close.
  • Identify areas for improvement in newly acquired business reporting practices and lead the implementation of consistent reporting in line with corporate requirements.
  • Act as a strategic commercial finance advisor for group businesses, utilizing financial analysis, modeling, and insights to support decision-making and drive profitable growth.
  • Develop and oversee training programs to improve financial acumen across the group.
  • Conduct regular reviews of account reconciliations and COSO framework to support risk management objectives.
  • Support multiple financial integration projects related to new acquisitions.
  • Analyze management reports, focusing on key operating ratios to identify issues, opportunities, and emerging trends for business partners.
  • Maintain and enhance accounting information systems to improve efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.

  • CPA or equivalent accounting certification or qualification.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues across different time zones and cultural backgrounds.

Beneficial Skills / Experience:

  • Thorough understanding of GAAP and IFRS for software (specifically IFRS 15 & 16)
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with BPC, Great Plains, or Blackline (not required)  
  • Domestic and International travel required
  • Group Consolidated Reporting experience
