About this role

Dr.Bill, an RBCx company, is hiring a Director of Operations to join our team in Toronto, ON or Vancouver, BC. Dr.Bill is a leading platform for Medical Billing, serving Ontario, BC and Alberta, having helped physicians get paid over $10.38B. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Dr.Bill’s General Manager and senior leadership team through Dr.Bill’s next phase of growth. This role requires a dynamic professional who can navigate both strategic and operational tasks, acting as a trusted advisor and a key driver of organizational effectiveness. You will work across departments, streamlining communication, optimizing workflows, and ensuring the GM’s vision is translated into actionable results.  This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and has a passion for building and scaling.

What will you do?

  • Partner with the GM to define and drive strategic priorities and company objectives, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning
  • Lead organizational OKR reporting, partnering with peer leaders to enable visibility, accountability, and continuous improvement within their teams.
  • Drive the operational reporting cadence, including weekly team reviews, MBRs, QBRs and board prep.
  • Develop business cases to inform strategies across multiple business verticals, including product innovation, marketing, sales, insurance, and data analytics.
  • Support M&A activities: including target identification, and commercial, financial and operational analysis
  • Foster a data-informed, results-oriented culture that prioritizes collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Analyze internal operations and identify areas for process improvements
  • Hire, mentor, and lead high-performing teams responsible for driving overall efficiency and scale across the organization

What will you need to succeed?

  • At least 12 years of experience in strategy, finance, analytics, business operations, or strategic planning, preferably within a consulting firm or high-growth B2B/B2C SaaS environment.
  • Proven track record of scaling a high-growth B2C and B2B2C platforms and driving cross-functional alignment in a SaaS company with recurring revenue models.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, financial modeling skills, and impeccable attention to detail.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic thinker who can balance high-level planning with hands-on execution.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team. Experience in building and nurturing high-performing teams within a scale-up environment.

Nice to Have

  • Fluent in both English and French
  • CFA, CPA, or MBA or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience working within large, matrixed organizations
  • Existing knowledge of Canadian healthcare system
