We are currently looking for a Shipping Clerk for our 1st shift Team. This position reports to and works closely with the Shipping supervisor to answer customer inquiries, assist in the receiving process, and provide order management with information, primarily through daily clerical activities. Organizational skills and abilities to communicate efficiently and effectively are of paramount importance. Proven ability to gather, analyze, organize, and retrieve data efficiently is highly desirable. 

Duties: 

  • Maintain receiving related documents either hard copy or computer based that are well organized. Accurate, easily accessible, and in accordance with set departmental standards as well as being ISO compliant. 

  • Update system information related to the receiving department accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain department files. 

  • Receive, sort, and distribute 

  • Identify damaged freight in accordance with receiving department work instructions. 

  • Order receiving related supplies as required 

  • Prepare, distribute and file documents 

 

Requirements: 

  • Experience working with pack slips and bills of lading 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 

  • Ability to organize work, meet deadlines and work with accuracy

  • Ability to consistently lift heavy items/boxes (up to 50 lbs.) 

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft word & Outlook 

 

This role is 1st Shift, 6:00 am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday with some overtime required on Weekends.
