Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Salary Range

$142,500.00 - $235,100.00

What Is the Opportunity?

Provides high quality, actionable and cost effective legal advice, litigation strategy/management and other legal services to our internal clients with respect to complex liability coverage matters and disputes. Researches and delivers legal advice on a wide variety of complex insurance coverage and liability issues. Represents and/or participates on behalf of the Company in mediations, arbitrations, settlement conferences, and other alternative dispute resolution forums. Directs and manages outside counsel with respect to coverage litigation involving the Company.

Provide prompt and actionable legal advice and other assistance to our clients with respect to complex liability coverage matters.

  • Develop and implement resolution strategies for coverage disputes and coverage litigation.
  • Proactively manage outside coverage counsel and legal expenditures.
  • Achieve desired results through careful and effective analysis, research, advocacy, collaboration and client partnership.
  • Approach disputes and issues creatively and strategically, with a relentless resolution focus.
  • Consistently demonstrate commitment to continuous learning, innovation, professional excellence and the highest ethical standards.
  • Consistently exhibit strong and persuasive communication skills.
  • Value and develop true partnerships with clients and other colleagues.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Minimum of 10 years of prior legal experience preferred.

What is a Must Have?

  • Juris Doctorate or equivalent International legal degree; graduate of an accredited law school.
  • Minimum of 7 years of prior legal experience.
  • Active license to practice law in the state(s) in which representation is required.
