Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled Collibra Developer to design, configure, and support enterprise data governance solutions using the Collibra platform. The role involves workflow development, metadata management, asset modeling, system integration, and support for data quality and lineage initiatives. The ideal candidate will work closely with data stewards, business teams, and technical stakeholders to enable trusted, governed, and well-documented data across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, configure, and maintain Collibra platform components including communities, domains, asset types, attributes, relations, and workflows.
Design and implement workflow automation using Collibra workflow capabilities to support governance processes such as stewardship, approvals, issue management, and certification.
Integrate Collibra with enterprise systems, data platforms, and external tools using REST APIs and integration frameworks.
Support metadata ingestion, lineage enablement, data cataloging, glossary management, and policy implementation within Collibra.
Collaborate with data governance teams, business stakeholders, data owners, and stewards to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
Configure and maintain operating models, business glossaries, reference data structures, and governance rules.
Support data quality initiatives by linking quality rules, metrics, and monitoring capabilities with governed data assets.
Troubleshoot platform issues, optimize configurations, and provide ongoing production support.
Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, user guidance, and knowledge transfer materials.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, estimation, testing, release activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Must-Have Skills
Hands-on experience with Collibra Data Intelligence Platform / Collibra Data Governance Center.
Collibra Ranger Certification is required.
Strong knowledge of Collibra workflow development, BPMN-based process automation, and operating model configuration.
Experience with metadata management, data governance, business glossary, data catalog, and data lineage concepts.
Proficiency in integrating Collibra with enterprise applications using REST APIs, connectors, or middleware tools.
Good understanding of data quality, stewardship, ownership, classification, and governance processes.
Experience with SQL and familiarity with databases, data warehouses, and data integration concepts.
Knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as Java, Groovy, or Python for customization and automation.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional business and technical teams.
Good communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Good-to-Have Skills
Experience with Collibra Lineage, Collibra Data Quality, Collibra Connect, or related Collibra modules.
Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Familiarity with ETL, BI, and data management tools such as Informatica, Talend, Power BI, or Tableau.
Understanding of data governance frameworks, regulatory compliance, and enterprise data management practices.
Experience working in Agile delivery environments and Dev/Test/Prod release processes.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field.
Typically 3–6 years of overall IT experience, with relevant hands-on experience in Collibra development and configuration.
Experience delivering data governance or metadata management solutions in enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of SDLC, testing practices, deployment processes, and production support.
Ideal Candidate Profile: A proactive and detail-oriented professional with hands-on Collibra platform experience, strong data governance knowledge, and the ability to build scalable solutions that improve metadata visibility, governance compliance, and data trust across the enterprise
