The schedule is variable as you'll oversee inbound and outbound leaders from 6a-630p. Most days will be 7-8a start and end around 330-430p adjusting as needed to support the business. In this position you will handle operational oversight for receiving and shipping, mail services and courier, ensuring daily workflows, recall management and customer returns are successful. POSITION SUMMARY
This position manages the inventory and warehouse functions for the regional central supply warehouse. Responsible for providing cost effective and safe handling of all materials, including the effective management of inventory pars and holding costs, cycle counts, stock rotation and storage, security of assets, order processing, management of daily operations and management of staff. Provides effective customer service and response/delivery times that meet customer service goals.

CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Plans, schedules and supervises warehouse work functions and workflow of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, security, inventory control and inventory accounting. Manages and improves work productivity through quantitative measurement, communication, feedback and follow-up. Measures and manages quality outcomes and quality assurance measures.

2. Designs and implements efficient materials handling procedures such as product classifications, velocity analysis, product returns, product rotation and obsolescence, product transport and storage.

3. Efficiently manages costs and expenditures: Tracks and reports accurate inventory values. Manages item pars at optimal levels. Plans, organizes and directs the semi-annual physical inventory. Assures accurate inventory accounting and proper cycle counting. Determines staffing resources needed and manages labor schedules and expenditures within budget. Establishes and administers a departmental operating budget.

4. Prepares and distributes regular inventory status and financial reports.

5. Designs and provides effective customer service processes and systems to track and report the status of orders and other services. Staffs and directs customer interfaces via telephone, written or electronic media.

6. Hires, trains, and supervises the warehouse staff. Provides leadership, coaching, recognition, and conducts corrective action and performance evaluations. Establishes priorities, workloads, controls and work procedures. Provides all required training for use of warehouse equipment and work procedures.

7. Manages the physical plant and maintenance activities. Designs and allocates space and equipment for storage and rotation needs. Administers safety training programs and risk management programs/procedures for Occupational Safety and Health Administration compliance, safety and security issues. Conducts safety inspections.

8. This position has materials management, safety and security responsibilities for all central warehouse operations. Uses specialized knowledge of warehousing operations to design and implement effective work processes and systems. Provides supplies and services to all company facilities in the region. Customers are internal company materials management facility departments.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


Requires the business skills, knowledge and abilities normally demonstrated by a bachelor's degree in a materials management related field, or equivalent training and experience, and additional training in inventory management and accounting.

Requires three or more years of supervisory/management experience in a similar warehouse materials management function, and an in-depth knowledge of warehousing, purchasing, data and information management, warehouse operations, and OSHA, fire, and other regulations.

Must be proficient in the use of a computerized materials management systems, and able to effectively use all common office software.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


Bachelor's Degree in materials management or a related field Health Care Materials Management and Materials Management Information Systems experience Forklift certification is preferred.

Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
