Typical Accountabilities: • Implements and maintains an effective compliance program (referring to the 8 elements defined globally for AZ) • Operationally manages and executes “second line of defence” accountabilities (including conduct of monitoring activities, support for auditing, investigations, assurance reporting etc.) • Set operational compliance objectives (aligned with Global Compliance strategy and objectives) to ensure embedded and streamlined approach to governance and assurance • Support implementation of AZ risk framework and risk register, including mitigation of corporate risks (e.g. data privacy, ABAC, SHE, competition law, etc.) • Manage local/area oversight of all aspects of governance, including working with counterparts in other SET areas in areas of overlapping accountability • Support driving and embedding a culture of ethics and integrity Typical People Management Responsibility (direct / indirect reports): • Approximate number of people managed in total (all levels) - 0-5 • Manager of a team What is the global remit? (how many countries will the role operate in?): • Own country Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience: • Essential: Qualified professional - compliance, law, accountancy preferred; Significant experience in pharmaceuticals or a related industry; Knowledge and experience of corporate governance, health care regulations, laws and standards; Excellent analytical, written and oral communications skills; Strong collaborative, partnering, and interpersonal skills; Strong ability to work independently; High ethical standards, trustworthy, operating with absolute discretion • Desirable: Demonstrable management skills and experience Key Relationship to reach solutions: • Internal (to AZ or team): Global Compliance Specialist functions; Client Leadership Team; Legal; Finance; Audit • External (to AZ): Regulatory bodies; External Compliance networks in similarly regulated sectors

Compensation Pay Range:

150,227.20 - 225,340.80 USD Annual

The annual base pay (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position is outlined above. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
