Job Summary
Responsible for the day-to-day execution of Kemper’s facilities management program by providing centralized administrative coordination and oversight. Ensures consistent work order intake, vendor coordination, financial control, and documentation across Kemper’s entire facilities portfolio, enabling efficient service delivery and operational consistency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for work order intake, assignment, tracking, and closure of facilities work orders across all Kemper locations.
- Manages and monitors work orders through the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to ensure timely resolution.
- Serves as an administrative liaison with external vendors and service providers, including scheduling services and coordinating site access.
- Reviews and validates and approves vendor documentation, invoices, and quotes to support contract compliance and financial controls.
- Responsible for the prioritization of work orders, approving vendor quotes, and coordinating service delivery within established policies and procedures• Maintains accurate facilities records, documentation, and reports to support audits, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Prepares, analyzes and summarizes reports for Facilities Management leadership.
Qualifications
Education:
Minimum Requirement: High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities Management or Business Administration
Experience:
- At least 4 years’ experience in facilities management, property management or project management. Previous experience supporting facilities management functions in a corporate, multi-site, or enterprise environment, including coordination of both reactive and preventative maintenance work.
- At least 2 years’ experience working in a hybrid facilities service model that includes outsourced service providers and internal operations teams, with demonstrated ability to manage high volumes of work orders, prioritize requests, and track service completion in a fast-paced environment.
