The VP of Citi/American Airlines (AA) Acquisitions Partner Channel Marketing will be responsible for standing up new partner channels with American Airlines and then ongoing management of those channels thereafter. He/she will drive end-to-end strategy and execution for Cobrand and Proprietary Card marketing campaigns, as well as developing all customer facing assets in those channels and owning the customer experience. Additionally, this person will be responsible for managing messaging around employee referral/incentive program (communications, employee resources and employee focused merchandising), and coordinating efforts to drive employee engagement and retention. Ultimately, this person will be responsible for delivering against key business objectives and providing product marketing and customer experience leadership in a fast-paced environment, while ensuring that everything they manage is executed adhering to all control processes and requirements. This individual will develop/maintain strong relationships with both the AA Partner, as well as internal teams, stakeholders, and subject matter experts (e.g., Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance and Product) to influence channel success in alignment with Citi’s goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Launch/stand up new partner channels with American Airlines, including but not limited to building a thoughtful product/offer strategy, a frictionless customer experience, and compelling customer facing assets.
  • Maximize employee engagement and retention in employee referral/incentive program including developing communications, resources and merchandising
  • Responsible for ongoing channel management – including future roadmap – following launch with the goal of delivering against aggressive business goals.
  • Partner with AA and internal teams to ensure marketing campaigns are designed and executed flawlessly, and in line with all required marketing processes and controls.
  • Manage internal legal creative reviews and approvals for marketing campaigns.
  • Manage channel level account and expense forecasting, reporting and analysis. Effectively communicate performance results to leadership.
  • Evaluate program performance to drive future strategies, optimize existing channel performance and identify opportunities for improved efficiency, effectiveness, and better customer experience.
  • Perform monthly budget reconciliation and marketing invoice processing to ensure proper vendor execution.
  • Actively monitor cobrand competitive airline marketspace.
  • Build great cross functional partnerships both within Citi and American AAdvantage to partner and align on key marketing and analytical initiatives.
  • Escalate issues in a timely manner and identify and implement sustainable solutions in partnership with AA.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of experience in Financial Services Marketing preferred.
  • Track record of advanced project management skills, and exceptional communication/influencing and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at once.
  • Ability to step into role and pick up programs and projects mid-stream and manage them to completion.
  • Analytical skills, creative problem solving, and sense of ownership a must.
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
  • Strong proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint with an aptitude to quickly learn new systems, platforms, and software.
  • Personal accountability and decisiveness in a strong work ethic culture necessary.
  • Experience in managing partner relationships and/or external vendors.
  • Highly organized individual who can establish and successfully drive results against goals.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$114,720.00 - $172,080.00
