With the use of moderately complex financial calculations, this role will perform a variety of accounting and analytical functions that evaluate and process financial data to prepare general ledger and/or DDA account reconciliations. Perform a review of entries to assess risk, fraud, or potential loss; Will cover a wide array of job responsibilities, during planned and unplanned absences in the area; Perform secondary review of associates’ work at the direction of the manager; Work on special projects at the direction of the manager; Assist with system conversions, technical upgrades, bank acquisitions, or mergers; Utilize in-depth understanding of the sub-systems that feed information into general ledger to analyze the activity contained in the general ledger or DDA accounts to determine appropriateness of transactions; Provide indirect supervision to associates with helping to complete tasks and resolve balancing issues in the absence of department manager(s); Serve as part of the department’s Critical Team to manage crisis/emergency issues with the possibility of overnight stays or extended hours of work; Other duties as assigned Must have Associate Degree in Accounting and 3 years of experience in banking or operational accounting OR any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background; Demonstrates intermediate knowledge of accounting principles and practices; Demonstrates ability to communicate clearly with co-workers, all levels of management, auditors (internal & external), and business partners; Demonstrates advanced analytical and problem resolution skills
Demonstrates ability to process data accurately, while performing multiple tasks, under tight time constraints; Demonstrates the ability to identify and assess risk and controls; Demonstrates ability and knowledge to perform multiple roles within the team; Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, highly proficient in Excel; Demonstrates strong attention to detail; Demonstrate the ability to train/mentor on various processes and give indirect supervision to others
Compensation Range:
Minimum: $51,480.00 - Maximum: $119,200.00The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB’s standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
