Job Summary:

Under general supervision, the position is responsible for driving university and college recruitment activities. The incumbent works with hiring managers and HRBPs to address workforce and staffing needs, serve as a valuable brand ambassador for J.B. Hunt on campus, sell J.B. Hunt's compensation and benefits packages, and advise on pay/salary and recruiting best practices.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee candidate sourcing process and talent pipeline for entry level roles
• Initiate requisition creation and approval process
• Interview, assess and refer graduates to appropriate employment positions
• Advise hiring managers on pay/salary and recommend recruiting strategies and tactics that support the goals and direction of J.B. Hunt
• Extend offers of employment and negotiate offer components within predetermined parameters, with hiring manager approval
• Manage, plan, and facilitate university and college campus recruiting activities such as: career fairs, advertising, company information sharing and interview days
• Implement diversity recruiting efforts across targeted university and college campuses
• Developing and maintaining relationships with students and universities to help achieve the university and college recruiting vision
• Participate in departmental staffing meetings and share data on candidate activity and recruiting progress; report regularly on recruiting activity, tactics, strategy, shortcomings and successes and provide information to help hiring managers and influence workforce planning decisions
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholder in region(s) you support
• Pipeline and Internship program execution for assigned location in region(s)
• Facilitate talent review discussions for campus hires and determine offer decisions
• Willingness to travel to assigned campuses in region(s) (can be heavy during peak recruiting seasons)
• Maintain region(s) university recruiting budget

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Business Administration/Management, Communications, Psychology, or related field;
  • Or 2+ years combination of experience, education, and training.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management, Communications, Psychology, or related field, with up to 2-4 years of experience, education, and training
  • Experience in university recruiting

Compensation:

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.  This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
