Provides crisis intervention and comprehensive services to include safety planning, risk assessment, emotional support, arrangement of transportation; accompany victims to medical, legal and/or law enforcement appointments, assist in securing protective orders, emergency food and/or shelter and information benefits. (30%)
Works directly with victims to ensure that expressed needs are advocated and presented to personnel at intervening agencies and assist victims with navigating the system to obtain the services desired and refer victims to the appropriate services for continued care. (25%)
Provides prevention awareness and education, the contractor shall conduct a minimum of 40 training/classes, and/or outreach activities, to Soldiers, Family Members, Commanders, ACS Partners, and the community at large. A minimum of 10 outreach and/or training events shall be conducted each quarter. (15%)
Answers 24/7/365 domestic abuse safe line where they must make contact either telephonically or face to face with a victim of domestic/sexual abuse within 20 minutes of receipt of call or contact by other means. (15%)
Conducts staff trainings (including training new hires) staff cases with VAs, acts as a liaison between VAs, community, Magellan Federal, and government. Updates master list of VA cases, quality control of VADATS (government database)/case files, assists with accountability of VAs, responsible for developing on-call schedule, and leads staff meetings. (15%)
