Customer Service Supervisor

Essential Functions:

  • Provides coaching and support to Customer Service Representatives, including answering questions, resolving issues, monitoring calls, sharing updates, and assigning tasks.

  • Oversees order entry accuracy and monitors route assignments to support effective service to the Direct Sales team.

  • Facilitates departmental meetings, manages team scheduling, and ensures consistent communication.

  • Serves as a liaison between Sales Leadership, Procurement, Warehouse, Transportation, and Customer Development Specialists.

  • Designs, implements, and monitors new and existing processes to enhance service quality and efficiency for the Direct Sales team.

  • Prepares and delivers monthly reporting on departmental KPIs for benchmarking and performance improvement.

  • May be required to perform team members’ duties as needed to maintain service levels.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and locations.

  • Strategic planning and analytical thinking to support effective territory management.

  • Skilled in resource allocation and coordinating cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask efficiently, and execute with attention to detail.

  • Solid understanding of financial and business drivers to support sound, timely decision-making.

  • Familiarity with sales and customer service systems and tools used within Halperns or similar environments.

    Equipment / Tools / Technology:

    • Desktop or laptop computer 

    • Networked printer/copier/facsimile machine

    • Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer)

    • Google Apps (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Drive, Sites, Groups)

    Educational & Experience Requirements

    • High School / Equivalent Required

    • Bachelor Degree in Sales, Marketing or related field preferred

    Minimum Years of Experience:

    • Five years previous customer service or inside sales experience with one year previous supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

    You are required to provide your most recent employment experience for your application to be considered complete.
