About the Role:

Wing is looking for a Finance Manager to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team based in Palo Alto, CA. We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Finance Manager to partner with our Manufacturing and Deployment teams. This role will play a critical part in driving financial performance and operational efficiency throughout the product lifecycle. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of manufacturing and deployment processes, exceptional financial modeling and analysis skills, and a proven ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.  This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on a rapidly growing organization and contribute to the successful launch of innovative technologies.

What You’ll Do:  

  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop and manage budgets for manufacturing and deployment activities, including forecasting, variance analysis, month-end activities, and long-range planning
  • Decision Support: Provide financial insights and recommendations to operational leaders, supporting data-driven decision-making related to production planning, capacity management, and deployment strategies
  • Cost Optimization: Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives across manufacturing and deployment processes, driving efficiency and maximizing return on investment
  • Performance Reporting: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and analyze manufacturing and deployment costs, identifying trends and areas for improvement
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Manufacturing, Deployment, Hardware Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment on financial goals and operational plans. Collaborate with the Accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards for manufacturing activities
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems related to manufacturing and deployment, enhancing efficiency and accuracy

What You’ll Need:

  • 8+ years of experience in finance with 2+ years of direct involvement in manufacturing or deployment finance, supporting operational decision-making through budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis
  • Financial Acumen: Proven expertise in financial planning & analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting principles
  • Manufacturing & Deployment Knowledge: Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain dynamics, and product deployment strategies
  • Analytical Prowess: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Drive & Initiative: Self-starter with a proactive approach, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to driving results. Proven ability to successfully lead change management and implement supply chain process improvements
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in financial modeling software and ERP systems. Bonus for demonstrated ability to leverage coding skills (e.g., SQL) for data extraction and analysis
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; 8+ years of relevant experience in Finance, including supporting a manufacturing or technology environment
