What You Will Do:

Guidehouse is seeking a Data Analyst to join our Defense and Security Segment, where the individual will collect and analyze human capital data to identify trends, develop visualizations in support of organizational and mission goals, and support decision-making for large-scale programs within the Department of Defense. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading design and development of data visualization and dashboard solutions to provide required analytics insights using tools such as Power BI, PowerApps, Tableau, and Qlik

  • Leading and reviewing, data cleaning scripts using tools such as R, Python, SQL, and Tableau Prep

  • Identifying and creating additional data visualization capabilities, as needed

  • Ensuring data governance and quality assurance standards are met

  • Performing analytics on diverse disparate data to identify trends and advise senior leadership on policy and procedure

  • Analyzing current process and identifying potential improvements

  • Working with team members to summarize and report on business process improvements to include gaps in current processes and initiatives to improve processes for an organization

  • Organizing and leading client meetings, including scheduling meetings; drafting and delivering agendas and meeting minutes; providing and archiving required documentation; and documenting, tracking, and following-up on action items

  • Summarizing and presenting information and reports to the team and make recommendations (both oral and written).

  • Maintaining and updating internal client website, including making changes using its content management system (CMS) as well as using HTML.


What You Will Need:

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED Secret Federal or DoD security clearance

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • FIVE (5) or more years of experience in data analytics or programming-related experience

  • Power BI experience

  • Familiarity with HTML; such that you can make basic updates to a website


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Power Platform Experience

  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail

  • Experience consulting for the Department of Defense or other Federal agencies

  • Experience leading teams focused on developing analytic solutions

  • Experience developing new and re-designing existing processes to meet new and/or evolving business requirements

  • Ability to provide guidance and direction for specific projects or sub-tasks

  • Capability to manage multi-task projects

  • Experience analyzing and defining system requirements

  • Ability to facilitate meetings and present topics to diverse groups of functional and technical staff

  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction

  • Ability to anticipate and respond to management and client needs

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff within an organization

  • Statistical expertise

  • Experience working with human capital-related data

  • Proficiency using Python, SQL, R, etc. for data cleansing

  • Experience with SharePoint
