What you'll do...
Walmart is hiring apprentices to work with our HVAC/Refrigeration Technicians!
You will make an impact as an apprentice with our HVAC/Refrigeration Technician by completing priorities in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration under the supervision of a more senior technician. You will maintain quality standards by inspecting installations and modifications of HVAC/R and more!
What You’ll Do:
All primary responsibilities will be assisted or performed under the direct supervision of a more senior technician. These include:
Troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain, and repair HVAC/R equipment
Perform major and minor preventive maintenance
Ensure available resources for HVAC/R maintenance and repair by managing refrigerant levels and parts inventory; tracking and ordering HVACV/R parts; and developing relationships with suppliers and contractors.

Previous rack refrigeration experience
Understand the importance of Customer Service and have clear, transparent, and respectful communication
Drive personal accountability and use effective time management to achieve commitments
Minimum Qualifications:
HVAC/R Vocational or Technical Certification
Type I/Type II Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification for Refrigerant handling
Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
You will also receive PTO and/or PPTO that can be used for vacation, sick leave, holidays, or other purposes. The amount you receive depends on your job classification and length of employment. It will meet or exceed the requirements of paid sick leave laws, where applicable.

The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00-$28.00*
*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
