Job Title: Receptionist

Salary: £25,396.80 per year

Location:  Veterinary Vision Vets, Bamber Bridge branch

Job Type: Permanent, full-time

Hours: 40 hours

We are looking for a warm, friendly team member to welcome clients and their pets to the practice in a professional manner and provide support to our team.

This is a busy, varied role so previous experience would be preferable but not required.

 

Tasks will include:

  • Meeting and greeting clients

  • Managing the practice diary; booking in appointments and surgical procedures

  • Liaise with clients regarding appointment cancellations or postponements

  • Making appointments for re-exams

  • Dealing with all telephone calls that come through to the reception line

  • Pro-active communication between clients and colleagues to ensure the day runs smoothly

  • Administration duties e.g. scanning paperwork, filling in forms etc.

  • Processing prescription requests.

  • Ensure telephone and email enquiries are forwarded to the relevant colleagues

  • Taking payment for treatment

  • Following up on unpaid accounts by calling clients and taking payments

  • Ensure the reception area is kept clean and tidy

  • Liaising with the Office manager regarding any client complaints

  • Ordering and management of stock

 

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and will demonstrate;

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Confident telephone manner

  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy hospital environment

  • Ability to work well within a team
