Job Description

 The Senior Account Manager, PA/DE, Olink products is responsible for developing and managing new and existing high-level customers within both academia (clinicians, professors, etc.) and industry (Pharma/Biotech) & service labs (CROs). The position focuses on achieving short and long-term sales objectives by identifying customer needs and providing solutions to create a long-term partnership between the customer and Olink, PSX Division of ThermoFisher Scientific. We require scientific sales individuals who can communicate with customers at a well-informed and professional level offering them solutions to try and address their research questions related to understanding real-time biology, stratifying diseases, and developing drugs. 

Furthermore, the Senior Account Manager will lead the team to combat competition and new market penetrants and build and leverage KOL teachings and relationships to continue to penetrate the market. The Senior Account Manager will help evangelize non-proteomics segments to perform more proteomics and multi-omics and will help insert Olink products  into routine pharma longitudinal monitoring as standard practice in those accounts.

  • Responsible for achieving sales goals and budget for assigned sales sub-region
  • Develop territory sales plans and goals
  • Leads, develops, and independently drives client teams on bigger sales projects
  • Introduce and monitor go-to market strategy in the sub-region
  • Gain understanding of the market potential in the different market segments in the sub-region
  • Provides sales and forecasting reports for Olink’s business reviews upstream and report back market trends to the regional sales manager
  • Master and systematically apply the ThermoFisher Sales Process 
  • Strategically and tactically plans sales support activities such as seminars and symposia in the sub-region, showcasing Olink and its product offering
  • Help be the voice of the field to senior leadership

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

  • B S, MS or PhD in Biology or related life science field
  • 8+ years relevant sales experience, sales management, or application scientist experience in life science
  • Technical experience with proteomics or biomarker discovery
  • Experience selling to Pharma, Academia and Clinical customers
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed revenue targets
  • Experience with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning capabilities
  • Proficiency in developing and executing territory business plans
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain executive relationships
  • Ability to travel as required
