Summer 2025 full time internship. This is a hybrid role, and the onsite requirements are 2 to 3 days a week onsite in the Grand Rapids region.

Job Summary

Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in healthcare while gaining hands-on experience in clinical standardization and governance? Join our dynamic team as a Clinical Standardization and Governance Intern, where you will play a vital role in supporting document management and designing processes that uphold the highest clinical and operational standards across our health system. In this role, you will collaborate with experienced professionals, including members of the Clinical Standardization team, clinical policy program, clinicians, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment, consistency, and quality in the end product. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to develop or sharpen your skills in healthcare operations, team collaboration, and process improvement, all while contributing to impactful healthcare initiatives that drive better clinical outcomes and financial performance. Essential Functions

  • Maintains accountability for completing support tasks as directed.
  • Maintains clear and appropriate documentation of actions taken.
  • May analyzes department processes and other Corewell Health systems encountered and makes recommendations improvements, as appropriate. Participates in quality monitoring activities/process improvement activities.
  • Communicates, collaborates, and acts as a team player with others in order to ensure continuity and coordination of services.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and currently enrolled in a university pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in area of accountability. May also be a recent graduate from an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program
