As an Account Executive (AE) at Coconut Software, you will have a massive impact on our business by acquiring new customers and creating raving fans.  You will champion the entire sales process from start to finish - from prospecting new business (often with a BDR) to leading a cross functional sales effort alongside executive stakeholders. Your self-starter attitude and drive to achieve keeps you at the top of the leaderboard.

While Coconut AEs should have a strong technical aptitude and a deep understanding of Coconut’s platform and use cases, they also lead with a customer first approach.  Our focus is on the unique needs of each business and how we add value by attracting more clients, improving client experience, and helping to grow their business.  You will play a huge role in the growth of Coconut, and further your own growth journey in sales, with expertise in the Financial Services Industry.

YOU ARE FIRED UP TO:

  • Manage prospects and build relationships from lead to close
  • Clearly articulate and demonstrate Coconut’s value proposition, creating enthusiasm among prospects
  • Navigate and communicate value proposition messaging for multiple use cases across different departments and key stakeholders 
  • Research, listen to, and analyze information from our customers to fully understand their unique needs and use cases
  • Build and present product demos and proposals to prospective clients that emphasizes the value that Coconut’s products can offer, based on their specific needs
  • Partner with BDRs, Sales, and Sales Engineers to develop strategies to create, progress, and close opportunities
  • Negotiate contract terms with customers and successfully closes sales
  • Achieve and exceed quarterly assigned sales growth goals within your targeted prospect accounts
  • Maintain timely and detailed pipeline management, keeping sales pipeline up to date and accurate in SalesForce
  • Keep up to date on competitive and key vertical industry trends, striving to always find new and creative ways to connect with champions and decision-makers 
  • Build and maintain exceptional hands-on knowledge of Coconut’s products and services to enable you to best educate and excite potential customers on the value of our products
  • Attend applicable conferences, trade shows and networking events

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:

  • 3-5 years of full cycle sales experience within a SaaS Environment
  • Genuine curiosity and thoughtfulness as you want to understand how this software achieves significant business impact
  • A track record of achieving annual revenue targets of $1M+ 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience consistently exceeding target goals
  • Able to travel weekly/monthly as needed to meet the Coconut teams and prospective clients (valid passport required)
  • Unquestioned ethics and clarity around doing the right thing for our customers, for your co-workers and for the company
  • Experience working in and/or selling to, the financial industry an asset
