We are looking for a Human Resources Business Partner to join our team in Costa Rica.

SUMMARY: Responsible for performing professional duties in the area of Human Resources including: recruitment and selection, training and career development, job analysis, HR information systems, conflict resolution, discipline issues, etc., in order to maintain and improve the Human Resources indicators.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assessing, sieving, and interviewing candidates for available positions; and making referrals of well-qualified and skillful applicants to the respective department managers and handling positions for students. Maintain databases of candidates.

  • Maintains a detailed record of the turnover, recruitment and selection, and researches and formulates strategies which effectively aid in employee retention.

  • Helps employees and their managers in performance and disciplinary matters. He/She may even propose and develop a set of rules that would monitor the discipline. Propose disciplinary action plans for employees to its managers, and help them to execute them.

  • Consulting with practice managers regarding employee turnover, absenteeism, changes in work settings, employee motivation and recognition, and other employee-related aspects.

  • Carrying out field interview campaigns and advertising, arranging for all essentials needed for the recruitment drive, coordinating work with other staff members, determining employee performance appraisals and developing plans and strategies for recruitment.

  • Define, implement and maintain recognition programs. Carries out the duty of conducting employee recognition activities.

  • Develop, lead, implement and or participate in projects both in the area of Human Resources, and other areas as required.

  • Provide support to the Human Resources Director in a variety of activities.

  • Lead, Implement and start HR programs in several subsystems (compensation and benefits, turnover training and development, information systems, conflict resolution, communication, etc.).

  • Elaboration, coordination and implementation of general or specific surveys, in order to obtain data to generate improvement action plans.

  • Define, document and implement HR processes, in coordination with the HR team.

  • Monitor and analyze HR metrics, and provide suggestions to improve them.

  • Work closely with site leadership and employees to improve work relationships, inspire engagement, and increase productivity and retention.

  • Lead site sourcing/staffing activities to acquire key talent (non exempt/exempt) and achieve workforce plan objectives.

  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with leaders to develop solutions, programs and policies

  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues; conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations where necessary.

  • Track and report on site HR metrics.

  • Manage HR administration and compliance activities as necessary.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology or any other related.

  • Advanced english level.

  • 4-5 years of experience on HR coordination positions or related positions.

  • Strong employee relations and staffing background. Business acumen – understanding of financial and operational concepts/techniques.

  • Experience with manufacturing organization, preferably lean-driven.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: To be emotionally stable, leadership, knowledge on HR systems, to have the ability of support the employee and at the same time pursuit the company interests. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Intermediate personal computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
