Job Summary:

The Career Solutions Regional Manager will supervise the operations of the Goodwill Career Solution Centers in an assigne region. This leader will work with team members across the organization to ensure their region is meeting Goodwill's Mission objectives. This position will work cross-functionally and with community partners to ensure clients are receiving the support they need and that training competencies are maintained.

Job Description

Essential Functions

  • Maintaining staff focus on reaching center goals with all the centers in their region.
  • Handling client and staff complaints and concerns for the centers in their region.
  • Assisting the department leaders in the implementation of the centers' procedures and policies and training of staff to ensure proficiency in all areas of center operations and employee management.
  • Support their assigned team through the employee life cycle through coaching and development of team.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of special center projects, training and community events.
  • Acting as liaison between the Career Coach and all other Goodwill internal customers.
  • Working in centers as needed in the absence of a Career Coach.
  • Advising the Director of Workforce Development on matters of center operational and personnel issues and implementing selected decisions.
  • Be knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as clients' rights and policies.
  • Represent and promote Goodwill Industries in the community with a broad spectrum of organizations and individuals including services providers, government agencies, educational institutions, employers, community leaders, community associations and potential clients.
  • Provides guidance to Career Coaches to assist them in meeting and or exceeding their center goals.
  • Assists department leadership and Marketing to ensure each center has and follows the marketing plan.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Skills

Education

  • Degree in business or social service-related areas, such as Communications, Business Management, or Public Service or equivalent experience is required.

Experience

  • 2 years of functional experience
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience

Knowledge and Skills

  • Able to deal with all situations calmly and positively.
  • Able to proficiently use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite.
  • Able to learn new processes quickly and possess strong organizational skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to be able to comunicate effectively with all levels of management and employees.
  • Strong customer service, relationship building, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time-management skills and must be able to pay attention to detail.

Certifications and Licenses

  • A Valid Drivers License to operate company vehicles. Local travel is required for this role.

Preferred Education / Experience / Knowledge & Skills / Certifications & License

  • Bachelors or Master 's Degree in Business or related field.
  • Experience running multiple locations at one time.
  • Workforce Development experience.
  • Non-Profit and/or client management experience.
