We're seeking a Senior Data Analyst in Business Intelligence (BI) who will collaborate closely with Ecosia’s Executive, Product, Marketing, and Operations teams to provide valuable insights on performance and opportunities.
Your skills in data management and problem-solving will enable you to translate raw data into actionable insights that empower data-informed decisions and contribute to our overall mission to solve the climate crisis. You will serve as a key resource for data analysis at Ecosia, focusing on the accurate delivery of data and quality analysis that aligns with business goals.
Empower our marketing, product, and operations teams by translating raw data into clear insights and impactful recommendations to inform decision making.
Partner with teams to build and refine business cases and testing plans for major new initiatives and features.
Develop efficient data models using dbt and integrate new data sources, optimising the ETL pipeline and ensuring that our data structure supports stakeholder needs.
Utilise data from our data collection platform (Snowplow) to generate insights while respecting our privacy-friendly philosophy.
Write optimised SQL queries and perform advanced data analytics to support reporting, automation, AB testing, and performance tracking.
Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using Looker to support self-service data-driven decisions.
Ensure the delivery of accurate, reliable, and consistent data through robust data validation and cleaning processes.
Engage effectively with cross-functional teams and C-level to communicate insights and embed a data-oriented mindset.
Ultimately, use data to support growth, provide value to the user, and support our mission to solve the climate crisis.
You have 5+ years of experience with managing data, and you know about extracting data from different data sources into a data warehouse or a data lake.
You have good business understanding and have used data to support and guide strategic decisions.
You are capable of writing complex SQL statements.
You are a great communicator and can translate complex data into actionable insights and business impact for executive and non-technical stakeholders.
Well-versed in analytical techniques such as churn modeling, regression, AB testing.
You have practical knowledge and skills in analytics and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker).
Understanding of modern data architecture and familiarity with data ingestion, storage, and transformation processes to convert raw data into insight-ready formats.
Skilled in designing data workflows and automating processes to ensure high-quality data and accessibility across the organisation.
You are a creative problem solver, able to think innovatively while wrangling data from multiple sources.
You are curious and quickly learn new domains.
You are fluent in English.
Respect for privacy and awareness of relevant legislation in the EU, UK, and US.
