Job Description

Motorola Solutions invites a skilled Full Stack Software Engineer to play a key role in building our future generation of products and services. As an integral part of our API-First, data-centric, cloud-based DevSecOps team, you will tackle complex problems and deliver innovative solutions. Your role encompasses the analysis of requirements, the architectural design of scalable systems, and the development and testing of our technologies. Working on both front-end and back-end, you will receive mentorship from industry experts, ensuring a rich learning experience. Expanded Responsibilities:

  • Architect and design cloud-native systems, addressing scalability and data-intensive challenges.

  • Lead in the enhancement of workflows through feature engineering, utilizing ElasticSearch for high-performance search capabilities.

  • Develop and maintain scalable and robust cloud-based RESTful APIs.

  • Build secure and efficient web applications, ensuring seamless REST-based interactions and an optimal user experience.

  • Innovate with hybrid cloud-AI applications, leveraging AI and machine learning services.

  • Design and implement back-end services utilizing container technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, with an emphasis on GCP compatibility.

  • Integrate and optimize AI solutions, with a focus on leveraging ElasticSearch for advanced data processing and analytics.

  • Craft and maintain CI/CD pipelines, applying DevOps principles like Infrastructure as Code, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and automated testing, using automated deployment tools such as Git Actions.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to convert business objectives into technical solutions, while effectively utilizing multiple Cloud Providers suite of tools and services.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in full-stack software development, with a focus on cloud technologies.

  • Proficiency in developing web and mobile applications using technologies like Angular, Typescript, HTML, and CSS.

  • Expertise in server-side programming with Node.js and Python.

  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including but not limited to Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud SQL, and other GCP services.

  • Proven track record of writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.

  • Ability to independently and collaboratively solve problems in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to a diverse audience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional experience with Azure and AWS is beneficial.

  • In-depth knowledge of modern authentication protocols like OAuth, OpenID Connect, and JWT.

  • Deep understanding of cloud architecture, microservices, and serverless computing.

  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as Flutter.

  • Proficiency in database design and management for both SQL and NoSQL databases.

  • A strong grasp of DevSecOps principles, with practical experience in tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Git Actions, or Google Cloud Deployment Manager for infrastructure automation, and familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus or ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) Stack.

  • Previous work with ElasticSearch, including data indexing, search query optimization, and cluster management, to provide scalable search solutions.

  • Experience with observability and metrics, including Prometheus and Grafana.

  • Bachelors degree with 1+ years of full-time software development/engineering experience

  • AND 1+ years of cloud experience

  • AND 1+ years using Angular framework and Node.js

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
