Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will architect the brand’s ability to deliver outsized impact for people living with obesity, and obesity-related conditions. Through deep understanding and empathy, you will build a brand and craft experiences that resonate deeply with consumers. You will act as consumer champion, storyteller, strategist, and visionary within the cross-functional team. Your passion, empathy, and strategic acumen make you a driving force behind the success of the brand.
Responsibilities:
Developing deep consumer understanding and building comprehensive consumer marketing strategies aligned with overall business objectives
Ensuring the needs of people living with obesity are at the heart of the brand, through partnership with our Insights organization, to uncover and translate data into meaningful and compelling insights
Building the target patient profile by connecting the dots across various pieces of research and deep external market understanding, using empathy to bring the patient to life to inform strategic moves and tactical opportunities
Leveraging deep customer understanding to develop the brand positioning elements that will define the unique role our brand will play in the minds of our customers from launch through LCM, applying this understanding to inform the brand business opportunity and define stakeholder objectives
Identifying external strategic partnerships and collaborations deeply linked to consumer perceptions of weight management that can operate as burning platforms and opportunities for the brand
Leading the insight-driven development of the Global Launch Campaign in partnership with the global brand teams, ensuring it is culturally relevant, distinctive, enduring, and measurably engaging and persuasive, and pulling this through into all elements of the brand – in messages and in visuals
Directing the consumer journey, striving to create frictionless brand experiences, and acting as the consumer champion in all cross-functional, cross-market engagements to ensure the team is focused on the customer and is making decisions in favor of them
Building and leading a high-performing consumer marketing team through providing mentorship and guidance and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages creativity and accountability

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree & 6 years of marketing experience OR
Master’s degree & 10 years of marketing experience OR
Bachelor’s degree & 12 years of marketing experience AND
10 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in strategic consumer marketing roles, with 10+ years of experience across consumer-packaged goods and pharmaceutical industries in Global and/or US roles
Demonstrate empathy to dive deeply into emotive drivers, attitudes, and beliefs uncovered in the research, and identify impactful insights that are meaningful across customer groups
Leverage customer knowledge to enable decision-making and prioritization of investment
Champion an enduring brand vision, positioning, and communications platform that is in alignment with overall business strategy
Foster innovation and outside the box thinking
Leadership skills and experience managing teams, with the capability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams

The annual base salary range for this opportunity in the U.S. $261,730 to $299,705.
