About our Team
 

We are currently looking for a SSM responsible for generating new sales of our Life Sciences risk management-safety portfolio which consists of: PharmaPendium, Embase, and Embiology. You would sell to the following industries: pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and medical device. Our solutions provide vital online information and tools to help our clients monitor for adverse events and make more informed drug development decisions on safety and efficacy, risk assessments and mitigation, study designs, and drug-drug interactions.
 

About the Role
 

The Solution Sales Manager is a critical team member. They're responsible for driving new sales, transitioning accounts to the Customer Consultant, and ensuring customer satisfaction. They'll work with Customer Consultants and Account Managers to engage in up/cross-sell opportunities. They will report to the Solutions Sales Director, Life Sciences for the Americas. Location: Western United States for territory purposes.
 

Responsibilities
 

  • Selling to research scientists, regulatory scientists, medical affairs specialists, and information professionals. Leading with the goal of generating new and expansion sales. This includes prospecting related personas, demonstrating solutions, and closing contracts.
  • Creating and execute a territory plan, maximizing time and account penetration with top tier accounts.
  • Developing a deep understanding of competitor landscape and be able to position our products with a compelling value story.
  • Developing a deep understanding of customer segments and translate how our information tools can help meet specific needs.
  • Becoming an expert on various research workflows and drug discovery processes to be able to assist customers.
  • Providing continuous feedback to product and marketing teams and participating in projects to help accurately assess market conditions. This includes providing strategic initiatives for new product development, and customized solutions.
  • traveling occasionally, estimated at 10%.


Requirements
 

  • Have a secondary education from an accredited university or equivalent experience to the role. Advanced education and Life science degrees are highly valued. Coupled with consecutive, successful sales experience.
  • Have proven experience/track record selling complex products/services utilizing a “consultative sales” approach.
  • Experience within corporate/commercial markets highly valued.
  • Experience working with drug discovery and chemical companies highly valued.
  • Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM.
  • Have exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, fluent in English.
  • Experience working within an international matrixed organization is valued.
  • Have excellent analytical and presentation skills.

Salary Range

The salary range provided in this posting is the base salary range for California.$79,700.00 - $132,700.00
