Overview         

The Reporting Accountant is mainly responsible for overseeing the submission, validating the accuracy of financial data and preparing for financial reports across different counties & divisions in Asia.

Your role

• Own the month-end, quarter-end and year-end Asia reporting cycle, coordinating inputs across countries and divisions and ensuring completeness, consistency and accuracy of regional submissions.
• Lead preparation of the Monthly Business Reporting pack for Asia and provide high-touch, proactive support to the Finance Director: deliver timely variance analysis vs budget/forecast and prior year, articulate key drivers, and surface trends, risks and opportunities to improve regional performance.
• Act as a regional finance partner to country/division teams, driving timely resolution of intercompany mismatches and reconciliation issues to protect the integrity of Asia-wide results.
• Develop and standardize regional financial models, reporting templates and analytics initiatives that improve data quality, deepen insight and enable scalable decision-making across Asia.
• Provide end-to-end support to the Finance Director on the regional budget, forecast and strategy process—consolidating country/division plans, challenging assumptions, and translating outcomes into clear executive-ready narratives.
• Maintain strong regional governance by staying abreast of new corporate policies and finance system changes, assessing Asia impact and guiding country/division teams through adoption.
• Ensure Asia-wide compliance with corporate accounting policies and local statutory requirements, escalating issues and recommending actions to the Finance Director to mitigate regional risk.

About you

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline; CPA (or equivalent) qualification preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ relevant experience in financial reporting/analysis within a sizeable multinational environment.
• Strong business acumen and analytical mindset, with a genuine curiosity and willingness to learn; able to pick up new systems, policies and country requirements quickly (Asia regional exposure is a plus).
• Clear communicator with strong attention to detail; comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and delivering quality outputs within reporting timelines.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; open to learning new tools and simple automation to improve efficiency, accuracy and insight.
• Well organised with strong ownership and follow-through; able to prioritise effectively and stay focused when working to tight deadlines.
