Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient/family-centered care that promotes optimal health outcomes
  • Apply critical thinking and clinical judgment to assess and respond to patient needs, including complex or potentially life-threatening conditions
  • Assist providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures
  • Interview and screen patients to obtain medical history, chief complaints, and vital signs
  • Perform both telephone and in-person patient screenings
  • Accurately document all patient interactions, assessments, and care plans according to established policies
  • Manage and prioritize incoming phone calls related to medications and medical concerns; collaborate with providers for follow-up actions
  • Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms and clinical areas
  • Participate in ongoing documentation and reporting of patient care activities

Additional Job Description

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program

Licensure/Certification:

  • Current LPN license in the state of South Carolina or a compact state
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
